I start working Monday through Friday 10 a.m.-7p.m. tomorrow. I am excited and bummed at the same time. For one thing, parking sucks at work during the day. My night shift was perfect for avoiding this. My start time is late enough that traffic shouldn’t be a problem, but only time will tell. The other bummer is that my carpool buddy and coworker went back to the 6pm.-2a.m. Sunday through Thursday shift so no company for the drive unless I decide to take the bus. Yeah – I know what you are thinking. She’ll never take the bus. Again, only time will tell. The cool things about working days are: 1) If I have a question I don’t have to wait for anyone to come in or call someone at home. 2) I can eat in the cafeteria – which can be pretty cheap and 3) I can do things on weeknights again. All in all – it’s a good thing. The only other bad thing is having to get up using an alarm. I am sure that I will have trouble at first and will probably have several “moments” about it.
